The next meeting of the Crossroads Beekeepers will be on
Monday, May 12th, 2014, at 6:30pm in the basement of the U of I Extension
Center, 1209 N. Wenthe, Effingham.
Please enter the west doors and go downstairs….listen for the buzzing of
the beekeepers!
This meeting will feature two programs . John Michl, beekeeper from St. Marie and Crossroads Beekeepers 2013 Beekeeper of the Year,will meet with experienced
beekeepers to go into details about adding supers, mite control, small hive beetle,
and Queen replacement.
In addition, Larry Quicksall will meet with new beekeepers to
provide basic beekeeping information and to answer specific questions for those
starting their first year of beekeeping.
Members are encouraged to bring a treat to share following
the meeting.
